I often send texts or facebook messages to multiple recipients with upcoming dates, family information, a scripture for the day, a quote, an incident.... etc.
In addition to this kind of communication, there are topics that I am reading, studying or writing about that often prompt me to write. I LOVE to write! Well, it's much more fun to write if you have a target audience! Also, I love it when my children write.
I'm starting this blog so that I'll have a place to go when the writing bug bites. Likewise, family members can easily check on my blog for upcoming dates and events, invitations and answers to questions. I hope that you will bless us all by writing comments and posting articles as well. If you want to post an article, you are welcomed to have administrator privileges to get in and do so.
The first post is just a sample.... a quick update on everyone's current happenings... which all of you know about already! Oh well, the dates are with the post, so it will serve as a "family journal." I always did like being a historian!
It's too late as I begin this blog for me to wax eloquent.... or to try to use more customized design tools. Maybe that will come later.
For now.... this will do and I love you all!
Your ever loving
Mom / Renee

WHAT'S EVERYONE UP TO?
Another Show Behind Him, Ian Registers for Cedar Valley College Recording Technology Certificate!
Last weekend, Ian completed the last show of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He's excited about registering for CVC in Recording Technology this week. This certificate program has a reputation for being extremely challenging, but also a one-of-a-kind program for a community college. He will learn how to create recordings and run live sound for concerts. I know you can do this, Ian!What's New with Hillary?
Congratulations to Hillary's roomate, Kimberly Gum on her engagement! Hopefully, we will also be able to congratulate Kimberly's mom in the near future, for finding a new job. With her new job, comes a new living situation, so Hillary will be moving on. Where next? This may be her motivation to transfer to a new district with Starbucks.Hillary has also decided to change her major from Photography to something in more of a social service oriented field.
This is a good time in your life for these kinds of changes, sweet Hillary. You'll be up to it!
Grant got his own place last weekend. He's gradually making the transition from student to professional... got the new car.... now his own place. After several trying roommate situations, he has decided that living alone is the way to go, at least for awhile. He is in an apartment complex that is popular among LeTu alumni.
Grant hopes that everyone will make plans from time to time to make the drive to Longview to stay the weekend with him. That drive really isn't far enough to keep Grant and his family from staying in touch! I'm looking forward to seeing him more often!
Matthew and Kristin Are Off to Vancouver!
Kristin will get to go home for the first time since the wedding in September. She and Matthew will be able to spend time with her family for a couple of weeks in July. Matthew really needs a break from the store, so it's great that he gets paid vacation time! I know Kristin looks forward to many days of being together with her husband!
Susanna and Dottie Enjoy Cousin Camp
Today was day 2 of Cousin Camp 2011. I've been hearing great reports. I know the girls are having such a good time with all their cousins. They return home Thursday night. One week from Friday, Dottie will leave for Quest camp with the 3rd-5th graders at Lakepointe. Such an active summer!
